Position: Software Engineer
Work Location: Kulim
Employment Type: Contractual

Roles and Responsibilities

• Engage with community to explore opportunities for the use of IT solutions.
• Gather and document business requirements by engaging with business partners.
• Work with various IT teams and the business partners to deliver IT solutions.
• Respond to system problems by analyzing the issue and determining the next course of action.
• Provide system training to end users.
• Participate in various IT projects as required.
• Participate in system migration activities.
• To perform any other tasks or assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
• Good coding skills in specified programming languages (Java script, .NET, C#, etc.).
• Knowledge/experience with application-to-application and business-to-business integration.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle concepts and practices.
• Understanding of interrelations between IT components (software, OS, databases, network, servers, etc.).
• Understanding of MES/ Shopfloor processes.
• Good communication, documentation (including flow charting) and presentation skills.
• Good analytical, technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
