On Saturday, 12th April 2025, the Mesiniaga AI team conducted an engaging AI Engineering Workshop for students of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT).
The session was attended by 16 students, offering them valuable exposure to practical applications of Artificial Intelligence and insights into the evolving field of AI engineering. Key topics covered included Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, chatbot development, prompt engineering, and hands-on programming exercises.
In addition to technical knowledge, students also gained first-hand understanding of real-world industry applications through demonstrations and collaborative discussions. The workshop aimed to inspire the next generation of tech talent and strengthen industry-academia collaboration.
Over 60% of students rated the workshop as 'Very Useful,' the majority found it easy to follow, and more than half expressed interest in internships - energised by the workshop's real-world industry exposure.
